This Thursday, I am thankful for the artistic escape offered at The Holland Museum in Holland, Michigan.
Paid admission affords patrons the opportunity to sketch The Dutch Masters…or anything else that you are inspired to create.
What an incredibly thoughtful opportunity for a moment of serenity.
If your commute won’t allow you to sketch in person; feel free to take a few stolen moments and simply relax as you bask in the beauty.

Today I am thankful for the beauty of Michigan,
for the recent vacation that James and I were able to take (as a couple) along the western shoreline,
Road Trip Parallel
and yet I am also relieved to be home.
I am so thankful that Michigan is my home(s).

It may seem bleak. You may feel pressured and hopeless.
You are not alone!
Your life matters!
He provides fruit in the winter to feed the birds.
“Look at the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Aren’t you worth more than they?”
YOU ARE WORTH MORE THAN THE BIRDS!
Today, I am thankful that HE who feeds the birds of the sky
I am thankful for a creative God.
His beautiful creation always causes me to pause, reflect, and come away refreshed.
Today, I am also thankful for my husband James, who surprised me with a much-needed nature hike the other day.

Today, I am thankful that the glimmers of light are still brighter than the darkness which they pierce. It only takes one tiny flicker of light to brighten the darkest night. #ThankfulThursday
Be LOVED. Be LOVE to others.
Beloved, be the light.

In the brilliant words of my dear James, “I am thankful for the unexpected clarity that I find when in nature.” Well put. #ThankfulThursday
I am thankful for untouched, visceral beauty…in life and in Michigan.

I am thankful for the beauty of Michigan winters, a fun new Nikon(R) camera, and the ability to photograph from inside a warm house on a sub-zero day!
